Cephalometric X-rays

Cephalometric x-rays are radiographs that allow us to see the relationship between jaw alignment and your teeth.

Panoramic X-rays

Panoramic x-rays require that a high-tech machine circles your head in order to provide us with more detailed images of your jaws and teeth, allowing us to best diagnose the treatment that is right for your individual needs.

Orthodontic Photos

Orthodontic photos include extraoral pictures taken of your teeth and profile, as well as intraoral pictures taken of your teeth.

Impressions

Impressions are molds of your teeth taken by placing a tray of “goop” over your top and bottom teeth, so that dental models can be created of their exact placement and shape.

Banding

A band is a thin metal ring, usually stainless steel, which serves to secure orthodontic attachments to a tooth. The band, with orthodontic attachments welded or soldered to it, is closely adapted to fit the contours of the tooth and then cemented into place.

Bonding

Bonding is the process during which brackets are attached to your teeth using a special adhesive.

Orthodontic Adjustments

Orthodontic adjustments are adjustments made to your wires or elastics during check-ups where Drs. Benko and McGrogan evaluate your progress and keep your treatment moving in a positive direction.

Debanding

Just as Banding is putting your braces on, debanding is the process of taking them off!
